Virginia Supportive Housing is the Commonwealth’s leading supportive housing agency. We develop and manage affordable housing and provide supportive services to help homeless individuals reclaim their lives. As a non-profit organization, we are focused on keeping our overhead low so that we can direct funds to serve our clients.

As our geographic footprint expanded over the years, our communications costs rose, too. In 2010 we began working with Executive Systems, Inc. to lower these costs. Executive Systems implemented a single, unified communications service across our 15 apartment communities, our Richmond headquarters and our Hampton Roads regional office. From system design through installation, training and continuing support, everything is done right. We have reduced our telecommunications costs by over 50% while getting the telecommunication functionality normally associated with a Fortune 500 company.

Our operations staff work load has been reduced significantly as a result of this implementation, allowing us to be more responsive to business strategy support versus technical issues. Anyone who is making the multi year commitment to a new phone system owe it to themselves to contact Executive Systems.

Switching to VoIP internet phone service initially appealed to me because it freed me from dependency on Verizon and their abysmal customer service. Executive Systems became a communication partner in the deal and handles many communications questions and issues without my time investment.

The fact that we also received new equipment and added high speed internet but stayed within the cost parameters of our old landline plans was a huge deciding factor. Looking past 5 years, the cost of internet phones will cost us 30-40% less per month than we used to pay just for landline coverage.

Internet VoIP brings in technology that allows us to do things we could not consider with landlines across our 10 locations. The ability to assign calls to a cell phone when something goes wrong has been a life saver when storms or equipment issues have knocked out traditional communications.
